Photo this: waves rolling in, a salted wind ruining your hair, and a plate of fresh oysters sitting in front of you. That's The Sandbar at Deauville Inn in Strathmere, New Jersey. It's not just an area to eat-- it's where you go to take in the coastline life. The view's unbelievable, the entire Atlantic sprawled out like it's revealing off, and the energy's perfect, somewhere in between chill and humming. I swear, every time I go, it really feels like hitting the reset switch.

The menu's obtained all the shore classics-- clams, fish sandwiches, you call it-- yet they don't cut corners on options. If I'm not in the state of mind for seafood, I'll grab a salad or something easy, always with a cold beverage to match. You're resting there, open air around, with seagulls stroking and perhaps some person playing a guitar close by. It's not expensive, which's why it works. You really feel like you become part of the coastline, not just considering it.

It's perfect whether I'm just stopping by for lunch or fulfilling up with friends for a sunset hang. Does not matter if you roll up sandy from the coastline or link up a watercraft close by, they're awesome with it.
